About GoldGuardian EA
What is GoldGuardian EA?
GoldGuardian EA is an automated Expert Advisor developed for the MetaTrader 5 desktop platform. It is designed for XAUUSD trading and includes pending-order execution, basket management, configurable recovery logic, trading-session controls and an on-chart information dashboard.
Which trading platform does GoldGuardian EA use?
GoldGuardian EA is developed for MetaTrader 5. The standard customer package cannot be installed directly as a MetaTrader 4 Expert Advisor.
Which symbol and timeframe should I use?
The current recommended setup is:
- Symbol: XAUUSD
- Timeframe: M1
- Platform: MetaTrader 5 desktop
Your broker may use a symbol suffix such as XAUUSDm, XAUUSD.a or XAUUSD-pro. Confirm that the symbol represents gold and supports automated trading.
Does GoldGuardian EA guarantee profit?
No. GoldGuardian EA does not guarantee profit, fixed returns, recovery of every basket or protection from trading losses.
Trading leveraged products involves substantial risk. Read the Risk Disclaimer before using the EA on a live account.
Does GoldGuardian EA use grid or recovery trading?
GoldGuardian EA may use configurable grid-based recovery together with Fibonacci or Martingale lot progression.
These methods may increase total position volume, floating loss and margin usage when the market moves against an active basket.

License and Activation
How many MT5 accounts can I activate?
Each standard GoldGuardian EA license may be activated on a maximum of three active MT5 trading accounts.
What happens if I try to activate a fourth account?
The fourth MT5 account will be rejected while all three activation slots are already in use.
Contact Support if an old account needs to be reviewed or removed.
Does the three-account limit mean three computers?
No. The limit applies to MT5 account login numbers, not the number of computers, charts, VPS installations or MetaTrader terminals.
Can I use one authorised MT5 account on another computer?
The same authorised MT5 account may normally be used on another compatible computer or VPS, subject to successful license validation.
Where can I find my license key?
Log in to your customer account and open:
My Account → GoldGuardian Licenses
Does license activation require my MT5 password?
No. GoldGuardian license activation does not require your MT5 trading password or investor password.
Never send your MT5 password, banking password, PIN or authentication code to Support.
What information is used for activation?
The licensing system may verify:
- GoldGuardian license key
- MT5 account login number
- Broker-company name
- GoldGuardian EA version
- License and activation status
Can I transfer an activation to another MT5 account?
Activation changes may require review and verification. Contact Support with your order number, customer e-mail, old MT5 login, new MT5 login and broker information.

Can I share my license key?
No. The license is personal, non-transferable and intended only for the authorised customer’s MT5 accounts.

- The EX5 file is inside MQL5/Experts
- The file is no longer inside the ZIP package
- You are using MetaTrader 5
- Navigator was refreshed
- MetaTrader 5 was restarted
Account and Broker Questions
Can I use GoldGuardian EA with any broker?
GoldGuardian EA may operate with different MetaTrader 5 brokers, but results and compatibility can vary because of:
- Spread
- Commission
- Swap charges
- Stop-level restrictions
- Lot-size limits
- Execution policy
- Leverage and margin requirements
- Price feeds
- Symbol specifications
Test the EA on a demo account provided by the intended broker before live use.
Can I use a cent account?
GoldGuardian EA may be used on a compatible MT5 cent account where the broker’s symbol, lot size, margin and trading conditions are suitable.
Cent-account values may be displayed using a currency such as USC. USC values must not be interpreted as equal United States dollar amounts.
Can I use a standard account?
A compatible standard account may be used, but capital, margin usage, drawdown and monetary values will differ from a cent account.
Always test the setup and confirm that the selected lot size is suitable for the account.
What is the minimum capital required?
There is no amount that can guarantee safe or profitable operation.
Required capital depends on:
- Account type
- Leverage
- Initial lot size
- Maximum grid levels
- Fibonacci or Martingale progression
- Broker margin requirements
- Market volatility
Use the minimum capital stated in the current product documentation as a setup requirement, not as a guarantee against drawdown or account loss.
Can I use GoldGuardian EA on multiple charts?
Avoid attaching the same EA with the same Magic Number to multiple charts unless the documentation specifically permits that configuration.
Multiple instances may create duplicate orders or interfere with basket management.
Trading Operation
Why does the EA place Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders?
GoldGuardian EA uses an OCO-style pending-order structure. Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders may be placed around the current market price.
When one direction becomes active, the opposite pending order is normally removed.
Why is the EA not opening an order?
Possible reasons include:
- License validation failed
- Algo Trading is disabled
- The market is closed
- The current time is outside an enabled session
- Spread exceeds the configured limit
- Free margin is insufficient
- The broker rejected the pending-order distance
- An existing basket or pending order is already active
What does Waiting for Session mean?
The current broker-server time is outside the trading sessions enabled in the EA settings.
What does Spread Filter Block mean?
The current spread is higher than the maximum spread permitted by the EA settings.
What does OCO Pending Orders mean?
GoldGuardian EA has placed its pending Buy Stop and Sell Stop order structure and is waiting for one trading direction to activate.
What does Buy Basket Active or Sell Basket Active mean?
A GoldGuardian position basket is open in the stated direction. The EA is monitoring the active positions, basket target and recovery settings.
Why are additional positions opened?
If recovery trading is enabled, additional positions may be opened when the market moves against the active basket and reaches the configured grid distance.
Additional positions increase exposure and margin usage.
What is Basket Take Profit?
GoldGuardian EA may calculate a common basket target based on the weighted average entry price of active positions.
When the basket target is reached, the EA may close the active positions as one managed basket.
Settings and Risk Management
Should I change the default settings?
New users should begin with the supplied Default Setting file and test it on a demo account.
Changing lot progression, grid distance, maximum positions or risk settings may significantly change performance and account exposure.
Which lot-sizing methods are available?
GoldGuardian EA may support Fibonacci or Martingale lot progression, depending on the configured settings.
Is Fibonacci safer than Martingale?
Both methods can increase position size and exposure as the recovery sequence continues. Neither method removes trading risk.
Does the EA have drawdown protection?
GoldGuardian EA may include optional drawdown, daily-loss, basket-loss, break-even and trailing-stop parameters.
Some protection settings may be disabled by default. Review every parameter before live trading.
Can a stop-loss guarantee the maximum loss?
No. Market gaps, slippage, low liquidity, broker execution and server problems may cause an order to be executed at a different price from the requested level.
Performance
Are the displayed performance results guaranteed?
No. Performance reports represent a specific historical period and trading environment only.
Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Why may my results differ?
Results may differ because of:
- Broker spread and commission
- Slippage and execution delay
- Price-feed differences
- Account type and leverage
- Trading start date
- Market conditions
- EA version
- Parameter changes
- Internet or VPS performance
Are USC values the same as USD?
No. USC generally represents cent-account units. A value shown as 10,000 USC may represent 100 units of the underlying account currency, depending on the broker’s account structure.
Review the Performance page for the applicable disclosures.
Updates and Downloads
How do I download an updated version?
Log in and open:
My Account → Downloads
Will my existing license work with an update?
A valid license will normally continue to work with an eligible supported version, subject to the Product and update terms.
Why is my older EA version rejected?
An older version may become unsupported because of security, compatibility, licensing or technical changes.
Download and install the latest supported version from My Account.
Should I update while trades are open?
Do not remove or replace an actively managing EA without understanding the effect on open positions and pending orders.
Safely manage or close the trading cycle before replacing the EA where appropriate.
Refunds
Can I request a refund because the EA lost a trade?
Trading losses, drawdown or failure to achieve a desired profit do not normally qualify as a product defect.
GoldGuardian EA does not guarantee profit.
When may a refund be considered?
Refunds may be considered for verified matters such as:
- Duplicate payment
- Paid order not delivered
- Corrupted product files that cannot be replaced
- Verified license-system failure that cannot be resolved
- Material difference from the product description
